Quests
Get rich and famous.
What better way to get famous and make a few bucks than by going on an adventure filled with quests? Traders in all outposts are always looking for some help, and that’s where prisoners come in. There is a variety of quests available, but the traders can’t just trust everyone with the toughest and the most rewarding adventures. That trust has to be earned.
Accepting A Quest
Quests can be accepted in 3 ways:
Quest Progression
There are 3 tiers of quests: Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3, each increasing in difficulty and rewards. To unlock Tier 2 quests, you need to complete 6 Tier 1 quests. To unlock Tier 3 quests, you need to complete 12 Tier 2 quests. Not all traders will have their quests unlocked at once; you will have to progressively unlock them by completing quests for specific traders. The order of unlocks is as follows: 1. General Goods 2. Armorer 3. Mechanic 4. Doctor You can have a maximum of 1 active quest per trader and a maximum of 3 quests can be completed per quest cycle per trader. For more information about progression, you can open the “Outposts” tab in the Journal. Quests refresh on a 24-hour cycle.
Quest Types
There are 3 types of quests on The Island, each with a specific objective:
Some quests can have a mix of different types of objectives (e.g., "Kill" and "Interact") Quests also have set time limits within which they need to be completed; otherwise they are considered failed.
Quest Rewards
After a job well done, a reward is in order. Upon successfully completing a quest, you may recieve one or more of the following rewards:
