Foot Abrasions
Occurs when you move around barefoot. Movement speed, carry weight and terrain difficulty all influence the severity of the abrasions and how fast the condition will progress. It has the following symptoms: pain, bleeding. Pain will gradually limit your movement speed and pace and you will also take damage if left untreated, but it can be subdued by taking a painkiller. Treatment if there is no bleeding: resting, putting on footwear, using other movement types like swimming or driving. Treatment if there is bleeding: use clean rags, bandages and other medical treatment items. Upon use of said items, you get “Bandage Protection”, which stops the condition from progressing. “Bandage Protection” constantly wears off if you continue to move barefoot. The level of protection it provides can be seen in the tooltip. Treating with non-sterile items can lead to a potentially deadly infection. This injury can be contaminated. If the contamination reaches 100%, an infection will occur. Contamination can be caused by external pathogens and wound germs. External pathogens can be found on non-sterilized cloths like rags, while wound germs are produced by internal propagation if the wound is contaminated even a little. Contaminations can be dealt with by a strong immune system and by directly applying a disinfectant (they evaporate over time).
