Cash and Gold

Money makes the world go round.

Nothing comes for free on The Island. If you want to purchase goods or services, you better fork out some dough. Money does make life a lot easier so it's time to learn more about finances.

Cash

To buy items, services, and to respawn when you die you, will need cash. Cash can be looted or gained by selling items to their appropriate vendors. Cash can be stored either as paper bills, which you can carry around, or on a credit card. You can go into a deficit on your credit card balance, but be careful, if you reach a 2500$ deficit, the next time you die, your character will be PERMANENTLY dead. Look for details in the Respawning category.

Gold

Gold is a type of currency that is primarily used for respawning on your shelter. Gold can be bought in the Bank and it costs about 1000$. The prerequisite to buy it is to own a Gold Credit Card. The difference between cash and gold is that gold is not deleted on partial server wipes and is kept on your account balance.

Credit Cards And ATMs

There are 3 types of credit cards: Standard, Classic, and Gold. Each prisoner gets a Standard credit card when they are deployed on The Island.

Money can be deposited on a credit card either by heading to a Bank found at any Outpost or by using one of many ATMs on The Island. ATMs have limits on how much money can be withdrawn or deposited. The limit recharges over time.

Other Credit cards can be bought at any bank. Different credit cards have different properties:
