A submachine gun introduced in the 1990s as a lighter, more affordable successor to the MP5, though both are still made. It is blowback-operated, magazine-fed and fires from a closed bolt, and has been taken into service by assorted agencies and armed forces. Uses .45 ACP ammunition.
