Cantharellus cibarius, known as the chanterelle or girolle, is a fleshy, funnel-shaped fungus colored orange or yellow. It is arguably the most recognizable species of the genus Cantharellus, perhaps of the whole Cantharellaceae family. It may be poisonous, so eat at your own risk.
