Black Pepper
Black pepper is grown for its fruit, which is normally dried for use as a spice and seasoning. Once dried, the fruit is called a peppercorn. When fresh and fully ripe it measures about 5 millimeters (0.20 in) across, is dark red and, like every drupe, holds a single seed.
